**Who we are looking for**

With immediate effect we are looking for Quality Assurance - Core Compliance, Assistant Vice President, Hybrid in Munich, Germany. This position will directly report to the Head of Core Compliance. The role will support the Executive Management Board of State Street Bank International GmbH (SSBI) and SSBI’s employees in their responsibility to comply with laws and regulations applicable to SSBI’s business activities and functions. The Compliance Department is an independent control function. This position is perfect for an individual who has expertise in compliance functions within the Financial Services sector, who possesses strong attention to regulations and its impact on Financial Institutions. This role can be performed in a hybrid model, where you can balance work from home and office to match your needs and role requirements.

**What you will be responsible for**

As Quality Assurance - Core Compliance you will
- Work closely together with the Head of Core Compliance ensuring the execution of the Compliance program fulfils the quality expectations of the Head of Compliance
- Review Compliance Monitoring and Testing Results ensuring the correctness of the content
- Analyze the Monitoring and Testing Results to provide the Head of Compliance with key issues and common themes out of it proposing further actions to be taken by the bank’s management
- Review of executed Monitoring and Testing Activities to ensure amongst other topics that relevant regulations were considered appropriately and respective process chains as well as outsourcing relationships documented in detail
- Analyze the Monitoring and Testing Results as well as other information sources as Internal and External Audit reports, Letters from Regulators and / or Market Events to recognize key issues of the bank and trends which help to form the Compliance Risk Opinion and subsequent consideration in the Compliance program
- Assess the Monitoring and Testing Designs to validate the sufficiency of regulation’s coverage
- Review the web pages of our main regulators to identify guidance / letters / FAQs which the bank might have to consider and prepare respective information for the regulatory forum of the bank
- Screen the news to identify topics of Monitoring and Testing relevance, such as publications on peer’s issues and regulatory actions
- Monitor European Regulator’s guidelines and propose topics for the regulatory forum of the bank

**Education & Preferred Qualifications**
- MA/ MSc/ BA/ BS (or equivalent experience) in Business Administration or Law
- Minimum of 5 years relevant work experience with compliance within the financial services sector, ideally internationally
- Broad knowledge of EU and local regulations across Europe relevant for the fund industry and banks
- Understanding of regulatory environment in Europe and ECB
- Excellent critical thinking skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills
- High degree of initiative and strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight
- Strong relationship building and collaboration skills
- Strong organizational and time management skills
