Social Media Intern

**Location: Flexible (Munich).**This allows the flexibility to work from home, with proximity to an office location.

The role will be embedded in our EMEA social media team while also working with our global in-house studio team. As the Social Media Video Editor Intern, you will contribute to a broad range of video production activities, including editing, shooting, on-site event production, and collaborating with content creators. You will help bring our brand to life by crafting engaging content for GoPro's regional European social media platforms.

**What You Will Do**
- Provide day-to-day editing assistance for the EMEA Social Media team.
- Create content for GoPro's social media platforms with some supervision.
- Follow, maintain, and improve team workflow, organization, and processes.
- Provide rough cuts, rushes/selects, or daily assembly edits.
- Cultivate a keen eye for selecting the best moments from raw footage.
- Ensure best practices for proper video compression and encoding.
- Work with Creative Directors to define goals and plans for projects.
- Escalate sensitive and complex queries to Producer/Director as appropriate.
- Collaborate cross-functionally within Media and the broader Marketing organization.

**Skills We're Excited About**
- 2+ years of experience as a video editor.
- Language Skills: Fluency in English (mandatory). Proficiency in German is a strong plus.
- Experience using GoPro cameras as a production tool.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube
- Proven experience working with a video team (producers, production coordinators, talent, etc.).
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Quick technical editing skills and a keen eye for color correction and image quality.
- Strong storytelling ability.
- Ability to work within short deadlines, manage multiple projects, and prioritize tasks.
- Proficiency in visual effects, design, fonts, Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Da Vinci, etc.

**Bonus Points For**
- Experience working on-site at live events.
- Knowledge of emerging video trends and social media best practices.
- Ability to adapt to evolving brand guidelines and creative direction.
