**Your mission**:
GotPhoto is looking for an enthusiastic **Accountant to join our Accounting Team** to support the financial integrity and efficiency of the organization by accurately **maintaining and financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing timely and precise reporting.**

**This is a hybrid position**:We would appreciate if you are located in or around Berlin and be able to commute to our office 1-2 times/week**.**

We have legal entities in Germany (Fotografen Online Service GmbH) and in the US (GotPhoto Inc).

**Responsibilities**:

- ** Accounting and Financial Management**: You support our departments with GotPhoto Accounting functions, including credits, refunds, and payments. You monitor payment transactions and understand technical integration.
- ** Month/Year End Closings**: You assist our Senior Accountants with Month End and Year End Closings by gaining expertise in Group Accounting and reconciliations.
- ** Day-to-Day Tasks**: You manage incoming invoices, use expense tools, handle pre-accounting, reconciliations, and resolve issues with interfaces and ports.
- ** Collaboration and Support**: You engage in cross-functional projects involving tech, payment, and accounting teams.

**We are looking for**:

- ** Experience & Skills**: You have 1-3 years of experience in Accounting with knowledge of HGB and US GAAP. You are proficient in booking in common Accounting systems (e.g. DATEV).
- **Tax Knowledge**: You have a basic understanding of VAT schemes.
- ** Problem-Solving & Communication**: You have strong problem-solving skills, proactive issue resolution, and effective communication with cross-functional teams.
- ** Core Competencies**: You have attention to detail, strategic thinking, collaboration, and awareness of compliance and regulatory standards.
- ** Languages**:Your language skills are sufficient to communicate effectively in German and English in a business environment.
