Portfoliomanager Advanced Thermoplastics

Tasks
We’re currently looking for a Portfoliomanager Advanced Thermoplastics (M/F/diverse) for our location in Hamburg. In this role you’re in charge of the following tasks:
Business Development with respect to Plastic Compounding incl. e.g. product, sales and production strategy

Monitor the technical development of the market including sustainability (recycling, CO2, etc.)

Develop short to long-term sales forecasts

Manage the product portfolio of internal and external customers and support the corresponding product strategies

Execute feasibility studies based on customer requirements

Prepare quotations from a commercial and chemical-technical point of view

Translate product requirements into material requirements and specifications and observe relevant legal guidelines

Manage projects in the field of plastic compounding throughout all phases from consulting to planning and implementation and support

Execute material releases (internally and at the customer)

Close cooperation with R&D, Tech Centers for Plastics and ContiTech central functions in Hanover

Contribute with technical know-how in the development of new compounds

**Qualifications**:
Master's degree or diploma in engineering specializing in plastics technology or in materials engineering

Several years of professional experience in production and sale of plastic compounds (market knowledge)

Good theoretical and practical knowledge in the field of material engineering for plastic compounds (e.g. rheology)

Project management knowledge as well as experience with IATF 16949 and / or other quality management systems

Experience with working in international cooperation and teams

Good handling with MS Office software

Fluent English language skills written and spoken

Strong communication skills

Willingness for international business trips ca. 20%
