**The Opportunity**:
EA Elektroautomatik part of Tektronix, is recruiting for a Head of Accounting. The full time position is hybrid and will allow for remote work, with in person presence required in EA’s Headquarters in Viersen, Germany 3 days a week. The position will report to EA’s CFO.
**Your Impact**:
As a senior financial business leader you will help EA’s business to grow. You will be part of a dynamic team responsible for ensuring complete and accurate accounting of EA’s main legal entity in Germany. Reporting to you will be a team of 3 technical accountants who manage the daily book entries and accruals. There will be lots of opportunity for development and to learn in this fast-moving and results-orientated company which places a heavy emphasis on continuous improvement both for the company and you. As a newly acquired business, the role will be central to the integration into Tektronix.
**Your role**:
Responsible for month, quarter and year end closing processes, journal entries, account reconciliations, revenue recognition and other reports for our EA legal entities
Responsible for the accurate preparation of quarterly reports, year end packages and tax packages/filings
Improve and maintain accounting policies and procedures to enhance general ledger operations, internal controls and compliance with Ralliant Corporate accounting policies, and SOX
Provide technical accounting guidance to the EA accounting team
Coordinate activities relating to audits and conducting internal audits as necessary.
Manage direct staff including participating in interview process and training employees; assigning and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems
Work with CFO to develop and carry out long-term financial goals and plans
Support in evaluating financial performance and trends, understanding the key drivers of financial results in order to provide insightful reporting and analysis, and identify improvement opportunities
Define and lead working capital process implementation and improvements across the German Entities
Drive productivity improvements in the Finance organization utilizing Ralliant Business System tools with a focus on continuous improvement
Provide technical accounting support to the broader Tektronix entities in EMEA
**Your profile**:
Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 5 years of relevant work experience required
Strong accounting knowledge in German GAAP/HGB. US GAAP experience a plus
Proficiency in Excel skills, experience with Oracle ERP is a plus
Ability to cope with ambiguity and fast moving environments
Willing to invest in shaping the future setup of EAs finance function
A ‘hands on’ work style with an ability to meet deadlines and at the same time provide accurate and reliable data
Demonstrated thoroughness and attention to detail with a steadiness under pressure
Solid communication and presentation skills. Confident, enthusiastic and a team player
Fluent in German and English
