**Your responsibilities**:

- You will research using Rust in the automotive industry.
- You will analyze and debug defects and resolve software problems.
- You will optimize the software regarding performance and resource usage.
- Or, you research which of the MISRA rules (originally meant for C++) are applicable for programming Rust.
- You will extend a tool like Clippy or dylint to check the applicable rules.
- You will implement automatic tests.

**Your profile**:

- You are a student towards a university or polytechnic or technician degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related sciences.
- You have very good knowledge in the programming language Rust.
- You are interested in new technologies, you like self-reliant working, and you take initiative.
- You communicate fluently in English; German is a plus.
- You are able to visit the Erlangen project members in person.
- Ideally, you have experience in version control systems like Git.
