International School Director

We are looking for an exceptional and highly experienced School Director who will provide visionary leadership, ensuring the educational excellence of our International school. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the future of our diverse and vibrant international community.

As the School Director, you will hold a senior leadership position and report to the CEO. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the educational operations, driving the strategic direction in alignment with the school's vision and mission, and ensuring high standards of education, learning, and achievement across all departments.

**Professional Responsibilities**:
Strategic Direction, Continuous Development and Implementation of Educational Program:

- Promote the mission and vision of the ISR, with clear focus and purpose
- Evaluate the effectiveness of educational program
- Provide support and guidance to staff to ensure the educational program is implement successfully
- Manage change judiciously

Student and Parent Engagement:

- Establish a strong partnership with parents, fostering open communication and collaboration
- Ensure a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment for all students
- Promote student well-being, personal development, and academic advancement
- Actively engage with students, encouraging their participation in and fostering a love for learning

Leadership and Management:

- Ensure the duties of all teachers and support staff are fulfilled
- Work with Human Resources to manage recruitment of staff
- Ensure systems are in place to assess performance and review effectiveness
- Develop open and honest relationships with staff - mentoring, presenting workshops or seminars
- Work closely and collaborate with other members of the Management Team

Operational and Compliance Management:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, ensuring efficient management of resources
- Ensure compliance with local regulations, educational authorities, and accreditation standards
- Collaborate with the school's supervisory board and stakeholders to uphold governance and financial responsibilities
- Maintain strong relationships with relevant external organizations and agencies

**Experience and Qualifications**:

- A degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or a related field
- Minimum of 20 years of progressive leadership experience in international schools, including a minimum of 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Demonstrate commitment to maintaining high-quality standards and driving for excellence.
- Strong collaboration and team-building skills, with the ability to build and lead a team effectively (absolutely essential).
- Excellent ability to engage with students and parents, fostering positive relationships and effective communication (essential).
- Entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to identify opportunities for growth and in-novation.
- Extensive international experience, demonstrating a deep understanding of different cultures and educational systems.
- Knowledge of German education regulations and international accreditation standards is advantageous.
- Exceptional communication skills in English.
