**We help the world run better** **PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES** You are working in the Corporate Accounting and Reporting team within the Corporate Financial Reporting department of SAP. This department is directly assigned to the CFO of SAP and is responsible for the completeness and correctness of SAP’s accounting and external financial reporting under German and International law. **EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS** - The position is assigned to the Corporate Accounting and Reporting team which is the owner of the SAP Group Accounting Guideline and the SAP group chart of accounts. - The team evaluates, decides on and oversees IFRS accounting topics for subsidiaries worldwide that have a global impact; in addition, the team monitors the closing cycle and executes end to end accounting processes within its Centers of Expertise (M&A; business divestments; goodwill, intangibles and segments; employee benefits including pension accounting, share-based compensation and restructuring accounting; financial instruments, litigation and compliance-related matters; hyperinflation and FX-related matters; cost of sales classification matters) - The team is ultimately responsible for SAP’s external financial reporting requirements, i.e. for SAP’s quarterly and half-year report, SAP’s Integrated Report and for SAP’s SEC filing requirements (20-F, etc.). - This Finance Specialist role is allocated to several Centers of Expertise (CoE) and is focused on valuation-related tasks. - The CoE team serves as the first point of contact for entities acquired by SAP and has to provide ongoing (accounting and project) support for the business. **EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES** Required skills - Thorough / detailed understanding of IFRS accounting rules - Very good understanding of valuation techniques for fair value estimations - Good English skills (with German language being a plus) - Good organization and communication skills; assertive; ability to balance multiple projects in a fast-paced environment - Interest in keeping up to date technically on aspects of accounting - University degree with special topics in finance, preferably accounting and/or auditing - Preferred skills - Knowledge of accounting-related functionalities in SAP ERP preferred **WORK EXPERIENCE** - Preferably 3+ years of working experience in the area of accounting and reporting under IFRS or in the assurance area of an audit firm. **We build breakthroughs together** **We win with inclusion** SAP’s culture of inclusion, focus on health and well-being, and flexible working models help ensure that everyone - regardless of background - feels included and can run at their best.
