SOFI is a bakery committed to an honest, traditional approach baking with the finest grains. Located in a carefully restored brick factory in Berlin-Mitte, SOFI is a collaboration between Danish chef and restaurateur Frederik Bille Brahe and Slow. We are seeking an experienced and empathetic store leader who is passionate about SOFI’s baking philosophy and has proven entrepreneurial skills to lead the business towards a professional, growth-oriented future.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supporting the master baker in the ongoing development of our products and offerings
- Driving strategic expansion of SOFI production, new sales outlets and additional branches
- Leading managerial staff and ensuring smooth operations in the day-to-day business
- Developing staff and taking full ownership of leading a young and dynamic team
- Positioning SOFI as an exemplary place when it comes to quality, guest relations and sustainability

Tasks

Operations
- Overseeing entire operations and ensuring high levels of motivation and service quality
- Maintaining all critical relationships (B2B customers, landlord, local community, authorities, etc.)
- Selecting retail items, negotiating with suppliers and ensuring optimal ordering processes
- Planning and optimizing production in close cooperation with the master baker
- Overseeing procurement and maintenance of all permits & licenses

People
- Resource and work planning for the entire SOFI team
- Recruitment and training of personnel
- Conducting regular feedback meetings with employees
- Defining and implementing succession plans for expanding the business

Finance
- Checking sales and cost analytics plus taking corrective action if necessary
- Management of budget and financial plans as well as expenditure control
- Ensuring compliance in cash and inventory handling

**Requirements**:

- Manager with at least 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry in Berlin, preferably with a baking background
- Experience in building and leading a team
- Attention to details in the context of a bigger vision
- Entrepreneurially gifted and curious to explore and experiment
- Very good written and oral communication skills in German and English
