Head of Data

**Team Mission**:
The EQOM Group is looking for a new Head of Data (all genders) to design and implement the strategic data roadmap. As well as lead the international data team in the research, development, and implementation of appropriate data infrastructure and products to support the overall business goals of the EQOM Group.
In this role, you will lead the department’s engagement with business stakeholders and executives by creating strong partnerships to push a data-driven culture within the entire EQOM Group.

Given that EQOM Group is an international organisation, we expect the Head of Data (all genders) to be comfortable having a team that works remotely from different locations and the willingness to travel occasionally to the different offices in the Netherlands, Germany, and Norway.

**Position Details**:
The Head of Data (all genders) has the responsibility to develop the strategic data roadmap for all subsidiaries within the EQOM Group, aligned with the overall business strategy goals set by the board.
Also, the Head of Data (all genders) has the operational responsibility for the international Data Team.

**Job To Do's**:

- You develop the team: culture - and skill-wise to create a customer-focused, hands-on and get-stuff-done attitude
- You drive the technical excellence of the team and provide a safe environment for learning and growing
- You enable the group to become more data-driven and to embed data into the strategy of the business
- You are the owner of our company analytics function by working closely with stakeholders across the company to drive analytical projects
- You lead strategic improvements to data quality, governance, and accessibility
- You are leading by excellence: inspiring the team, providing guidance, setting the team vision & are creating a structure

**Skills**:

- Bachelor’s degree or master's in STEM preferred
- 7+ years of work experience
- 3+ years in a role that also involved leading, coaching and mentoring technical teams
- Hands-on experience working in the fields of Data Engineering, Analytics and or Data Science in a technical role
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to communicate complex analytical concepts with confidence to a non-technical executive audience
- Able to work under tight deadlines and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment of a scale-up
- Strong coding skills and experience
- Hands-on experience in creating and managing enterprise-scale cloud-based set-ups, while setting best practices for security, privacy, monitoring & alerting, CI/CD, etc
