Job type: Permanent, full time (with flexible, hybrid working)
Direct reports: HRBP’s in Germany, Benelux and Switzerland
Countries responsible for: Germany, UK, Benelux, Switzerland & Americas
NATURE AND AIM OF THE POSITION
Our HR Team at Global Blue is committed to providing our people with a culture where everyone feels valued by providing the best employee experience possible. Reporting into the SVP HR, the Snr. HRBP will be a highly trusted partner to the business; working with key stakeholders including the COO, MD/s, business managers and employees. Responsible for ensuring the HR agenda is reflected in business decisions and aligned to the people strategy.
The Snr. HRBP will work closely with the SVP HR and is an integral part of the Leadership Team in HR and within their area of responsibility. Acting as the strategic partner to the functional COO and MD/s you will be responsible for delivering the global/regional and local HR business strategy and requirements through putting in place structures, processes, plans and objectives for the function.
Delivering best practice people approaches in order to create a culture that fosters engagement, collaboration and innovation; supporting business and individual growth by developing a high-performance environment based on retention of key talent through succession planning, leadership development and coaching.
A skilled influencer who understands and can demonstrate experience of managing change, drive employee engagement and partner with the business on key projects.
BUSINESS PARTNERING
- Provides hands on, proactive operational HR support to the business in a fast-paced environment
- Partners with, and provides sound counsel and guidance to GB business leaders
- Develops in depth knowledge of the business both strategically and operationally, to build consultative partnerships with executive team, MD/s and managers
- Be approachable and act as a trusted confidant to those across the business at all levels
- A professional HR leader who is comfortable supporting all employees irrespective of level within the organisation
- Focuses on attraction and retention strategies through engagement and developing culture
- Uses data and metrics to analyse trends and offer solutions
CHANGE MANAGEMENT
- Leads on change initiatives by working closely with key stakeholders to understand the objectives, rationale and to provide guidance and advice
- Provides structure to any change initiative (plan, timeline, legal counsel, anticipates issues, communication and execution)
- Leading figure and representative for the wider HR community & the business
GENERALIST HR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develops a detailed HR Roadmap following the guidance of the SVP HR, together with the appropriate risk management, action tracking, look-ahead and reporting
- Develops a credible HR brand across the region
- Implements Managers Guide and advocates for HR best practice in all areas; aligns with group processes for consistency
- Understands the business's strategy, provides relevant and dynamic solutions using experience & data analysis in decision making
- Represents the HR Department for the region and takes ownership of all HR activities within the region
- Manages regional SBR’s and drives exceptional and compliant HR service provision for the organization
- Provides scrutiny of HR systems and activities for the region; regular audits and reviews of data to ensure high levels of customer service, efficiency and accuracy
- Participates and leads, as required, all HR related cross-region and global projects/initiatives
- Champions and manages core processes in the region, including performance, annual salary reviews and personal development planning and ensure that leaders have the skills and capability to maximise the value of the process. Ensure that appropriate training/workshops are implemented for employees and managers
POLICY & PROCEDURE
- Effectively communicate and implement relevant HR policies and processes
- Ensure that local policies and procedures are fit for purpose
- Work to continuously identify areas for improvement
- Ensure that all contractual documents such as handbooks, contract of employment, offer letter and so on, are up to date as per local legislations and aligned with the group processes
TEAM MANAGEMENT
- Can demonstrate experience of managing a geographically diverse team
- Builds the team and provides structure and guidance to them, by having clear objectives and targets in place
- Takes every opportunity to develop, challenge and inspire each team members
- Drives for high engagement and performance through effective management and leadership, and builds a strong ethos of service delivery and customer satisfaction
