**Tasks**:

- Prepare, draught, review, and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, such as various data processing agreements and privacy compliance agreements, with clients, partners, and vendors. Although English is the company's main working language, German drafting and negotiations are essential for this position.
- Work closely with the commercial business and product teams on all aspects of the business of the organisation, including contract negotiations with clients including advertising, agencies, publishers, data providers, and technology partners.
- Assist the legal department of the organisation in scaling its international operations and processes so that we can function more efficiently.
- Check the accuracy of all externally exposed marketing materials, and assist in developing materials and frequently asked questions for our current and potential clients.
- Offer guidance on a range of issues that have an impact on the firm and our operations.
- Take part in meetings, conferences, and groups that are open to the entire industry in order to increase the company's visibility and share our stance on various legal issues.

**Requirements**:

- To be a kind and understanding person who, in terms of culture, will fit in well with our interdisciplinary international legal team.
- Possess a law degree from a reputable German university.
- Have at least 5 years of legal experience, ideally with a mix of in-house and law firm work.
- Possess expertise developing and negotiating vendor contracts, SaaS agreements, non-disclosure agreements, and other business and technology-related agreements.
- Be passionate about technology and eager to learn more about sophisticated technologies.
- Know the GDPR and, preferably, the appropriate US privacy laws (e.g. CCPA).
- Be able to collaborate and work cross-functionally with various departments, and be able to explain reasoned legal advice to non-lawyers in a way that is simple and easy to understand.
- Have the ability to balance conflicting demands and uphold the company's basic values.
