Join us as a Credit Officer, NatWest Bank Europe GmbH
- We’ll look to you to help with the delivery of our bank’s growth strategy in Europe, while working within a set risk appetite, monitoring a portfolio and assessing credit transactions

**What you’ll do**:
Alongside this, you’ll devise a subsidiary credit risk strategy by overlaying the bank-wide sector and utilising an asset class approach to make sure that the Wholesale Credit function’s objectives are met. You’ll also make sure that all credit stewardship responsibilities are undertaken effectively.

Your top priorities will include:

- Supporting senior colleagues in leading different business units and structuring and delivering lending transactions
- Collaborating with stakeholders to maintain the integrity of all risk data systems
- Maintaining a solid level of technical and professional skills
- Minimising potential risk losses through rigorous credit stewardship and identifying and escalating credit risk to deliver key customer outcomes
- Working with senior colleagues to identify problem cases and helping stakeholders to create or evolve effective problem management strategies

**The skills you’ll need**:
To be successful in this role, you’ll have excellent technical lending, risk assessment and IT skills, including knowledge of Microsoft products and financial modelling. Having German language skills and an understanding of relevant German legal policies would be advantageous.

Additionally, you’ll have experience of the banking sector or a credit risk function and knowledge of loan and banking products, credit policies and legal, financial and sector developments in the corporate segment. As well as this, you’ll be educated to degree level or have equivalent experience.

Furthermore, you’ll need:

- Regulatory and statutory obligations and risk management knowledge
- To be fluent in English
- An understanding of a range of products and sectors
- Great communication and interpersonal skills
