For our German site in **Wesseling near Cologne** **we are looking for a

**Senior Expert (M/F/d) Energy Management Systems**

**Responsibilities & Accountabilities**
- Establish and maintain an energy management system, which complies with ISO 50001 on the level of German legal entity Basel Polyolefine GmbH
- Facilitate analysis of operational data and ensure suitable statistic models for ISO 50001
- Improve work flows concerning data management ISO 50001 and GHG emissions including the monitoring/measuring strategy and data validation
- Coordinate the site energy team which consists of the energy plant focal points in Wesseling/ Knapsack
- Coordinate the activities of energy focal points
- Act as interface / SPO to the energy network on corporate level
- Initiate, supervise, support, follow up and document projects on energy savings to run a process of continuous improvement (incl. power generation)
- Acts within industrial associations for expertise related topics
- Closely collaborate with and support the senior expert energy reporting and compliance within the department on demand within Basell Polyolefine GmbH (BPO) or site Wesseling/ Knapsack respectively so that BPO complies with ISO 50001 requirements
- BPO seizes economical benefits from initiated and promoted energy saving projects

**Qualifications**
- University Degree in Chemical Engineering or Energy Engineering with an experience of at least 10 years in Technology, Operations or HSE (Olefin and/or Utilities, Procurement)
- Proven experience in the Petrochemical or Energy Industry with business acumen
- Knowledgeable in energy instensive technologies like olefins units, power plants, distributions networks
- Fluency in German and English
