**This is the role**

The TM (Technical Materials) procurement department is part of the global procurement and utilities organization. The TM procurement department is responsible for procuring everything what is related to our European production locations. The TM- team consists of 8 people who are responsible for specific segments and activities. For the Segment of DCS, Electrical-Motors, Analyzer, Laboratory equipment and Lubricants, we are looking for a Senior Sourcing Specialist who will take responsibility as a Segment Lead for the Global/- EU strategies of these Segments in the coming years.

To be successful in this role you recognize yourself in the following profile:

- You are a seasoned Sourcing Specialist who brings value generation to the next level and knows the chemical industry or related industry
- You have no trouble taking on responsibilities and handle different contracts accordingly. Since you will be responsible for the sourcing strategies of your Segments.
- We also expect you to present this to different stakeholders, Senior Management and are able to find support for your strategies.
- For this role you must also be analytical and a good planner. SAP/BW/Ariba and strong excel skills are required as well

**This is what you bring**

Bachelor's degree required (or recognized equivalent). Master’s degree preferred (or recognized equivalent). Technical or commercial background preferred electrical Engineering
- 5+ years related experience required with a degree (10 years in lieu of a degree);
- 3+ years of chemical or related industry experience and knowledge related to purchasing and materials management is preferred
- Experience in manufacturing environment, in Technical or Business related positions preferred
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Fluent in German, English
- Strong Project and stakeholder management skills
- Building efficient teams from different disciplines with high organization skills
- High level of self-motivation, Strategic thinking, Ability to manage conflict's
- Contracting experience in multiple legal systems
- Driver’s license
- Willingness and ability to occasionally travel
