Inside DNV the Hamburg and Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog Measurements Units are an accredited 3rd party institute for
**measurements and tests on wind turbines** for more than 30 years.

Would you like to expand your knowledge and gain some hands-on experience as Student Assistant - Loads & Power Performance Wind turbines?

The Section Wind & Turbine Testing is part of the Department “Renewables Measurements Germany” and is located in Hamburg and Kaiser-Wilhelm-Koog, Germany. The Section measures and analyses the loads on the whole structure of a turbine evaluates the characteristic power curve of a specific turbine, measures the wind speed on-site and provides several services involving LiDAR technology, including equipment validation/calibration as well as wind resource and power performance assessment. The Section currently consists of 19 employees.

Your key tasks will include:

- Support our Project Engineers in Loads, Power Performance and LiDAR measurement campaigns
- Regular data quality and plausibility checks
- Independent work on R&D tasks (Measurement Systems, sensors, data processing)
- Support in design and instrumentation preparation
- Installation and maintenance of instrumentation on site
- Software tools maintenance and development
- Occasional support of other Sections in Measurements (Acoustic or Power Quality)

Position Qualifications:

- Enrolled student within a relevant technical field (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Wind Energy / Environmental Engineering)
- Knowledge of MS Office 365
- Fluent English language skills (both written and spoken)
- Fluent German language skills would be an advantage but it is not a prerequisite
- Knowledge of common programming languages preferred (e.g. Python, MATLAB)
- Driving license type B
