After having raised a total of 14m EUR in less than 12 months, we are currently on the lookout for a Senior Accountant (f/m/d) to join our finance team.
You’ll have the opportunity to be a part of the finance and HR teams, as well as work in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced and ever-changing start-up environment.

**What you will do**:

- You work on the preparation of our monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB) in DATEV
- You develop the booking logic for accounts payable and accounts receivable and assist in the clarification of balance sheet issues
- You work on the calculation and bookings of accruals and deferrals, assist in the preparation of the fixed asset registry and intercompany reconciliation
- You ensure that cost centres are correctly mapped in DATEV and that reconciliation to management reporting is possible
- Together with our tax advisor, you take responsibility for submitting tax filings, including VAT and sales taxes, recapitulative statements and tax returns
- You communicate with external stakeholders such as banks, auditors and tax consultants
- You identify optimisation potentials and implement changes consistently to improve the productivity of the processes
- You assist in the preparation of internal reporting and ad-hoc analyses, as well as the professional development of the team
- You collaborate together with our Financial Planning Analyst on building updating models, preparing revenue projections, and forecasting expenditure

**Profile**:

- You are fluent in German and English
- Good to very good DATEV skills
- You have an education and professional experience in finance eg. as an Accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter, Finanzbuchhalter), ACCA, CMA, CFA or other relevant accounting certificates
- At least 3 years of experience in accounting, especially in the area of annual financial statements according to the German Commercial Code (HGB)
- Experience with company and tax audits as well as the management of company audits
