Head of Finance

We are looking for a full-time **Head of Finance** to build and lead our Finance function in close collaboration with our CEO and Co-founder. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of high-impact work across FP&A and strategic finance. Your responsibilities will include forecasting, budgeting, strategic planning, financial modeling, and reporting.

As a hybrid company, we value in-person collaboration and expect employees to work from our Munich office 3 days a week.

**What you will be building**
- Develop a comprehensive financial strategy aligned with the company’s short-, mid-, and long-term vision. This includes identifying areas of strength and opportunities for further growth, ensuring cash management, and helping raise additional capital as needed
- Lead financial planning and analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and developing materials to communicate performance to the board and other leadership
- Partner with others to ensure the company can capture the data for performance measurement, identify unique trends, and mitigate risks
- Oversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. This is likely done in collaboration with an external accounting firm
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors and venture capital firms
- Prepare board presentations and financial reports
- Manage tax compliance and planning
- Implement robust internal controls and compliance procedures.

**What you need to succeed**
- 6+ years or more years of professional finance experience
- Strong focus on FP&A
- Strong understanding of banking processes and financial data analysis
- Working knowledge of national and local tax regulations and compliance reporting
- Experience in managing payroll, with a focus on streamlining accounting processes
- Exemplary history of financial project management.

Nice to have:

- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in business, accounting, or related field
- Experience working at start-up or high-growth companies
- Professional German language skills
- Experience reporting to Venture Capital and or Investors
- Data collection programming experience in Python or SQL.
