ICE has grown to distribute more than €1bn in royalties per year, licensing music services such as Spotify, Apple, YouTube and TikTok. **About the Role**: You will initially be working with the external accounting service providers for our German and Swedish entity. Subsequently you will be involved in the planning and execution of the transfer of accounting processes into the ICE finance team and the NetSuite ERP-system and will take over the end-to-end processing of financial accounting tasks. At a later stage, you will also be involved in the hiring and management of a financial accountant to support the financial accounting tasks. **Key Responsibilities**: - Manage the monthly financial accounting close for ICE GmbH and ICE AB in alignment with Head of Finance - Handling of closing entries, such as provisions & accruals, depreciation & amortisation, prepaid expenses, deferred income - Balance sheet accounting / reconciliations including asset accounting - Preparation and submission of VAT returns - Preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with the German Commercial Code (HGB) - Coordination of annual financial statement audit in alignment with auditors - Assessment of business transactions and their accounting treatment - Conducting ad hoc analyses - Participation in improving the quality and efficiency of accounting processes and in special accounting projects **Requirements and Qualifications**: - Berlin based with hybrid working approach, willingness to occasional travel if necessary - Extensive level of financial accounting qualifications - Recognized accounting certification - Academic degree with a focus on financial accounting and/or - Professional financial accounting certification: Either international certificate (ACCA, CIMA etc.) or German certificate ("Bilanzbuchhalter", "Bilanzbuchhalter International") - Several years of experience in financial accounting (HGB/IFRS), ideally with a focus on general ledger / month end & year end closing / audit / taxation - Strong Team player and pro-active character with a degree of service orientation - Experience working with common ERP systems (e.g. SAP, NetSuite) - Advanced skills on data handling and analysis (MS Excel) - Quick comprehension combined with a very analytical and structured way of thinking - Open minded and willingness / ability to work in an international and very dynamic environment - Fluent German and English essential as well as excellent communication skills - Leadership experience **What we offer**: - Competitive local benefits based on your location - We promote flexible working regarding time and/or place - Both mental and physical health initiatives - Corporate pension scheme - Comprehensive training and development opportunities - Industry insider events, team socials and company events - Enhanced holiday allowance
