The Leibniz Institute for Financial Research SAFE - Sustainable Architecture for Finance in Europe - ) promotes scientific research, transfer work to the public and independent policy advice on all aspects relating to the structure and functioning of the financial system. It aims to contribute to strengthening a sustainable and resilient financial system that drives innovation and serves the needs of the economy and citizens. Researchers from the fields of economics, law, and political science collaborate at SAFE.
**Your tasks**:
We are looking for a student assistant to support SAFE researchers in the Department of Household Finance (Professor Dr. Christine Laudenbach) with their research projects, especially in the field of financial education in Germany (e.g. literature studies, preparation of empirical analyses, and support with the evaluation of experiments and surveys). The projects include, for example, the evaluation of financial education initiatives in Germany as well as the research of longer-term effects of financial education in schools.
**Your profile**:

- According to - 6 WissZVG in conjunction with - 82 HHG, your enrolment at a German university is a mandatory requirement for employment at our institute
- Bachelor
- or Master-student of/in finance, economics, applied statistics, sociology, business education or a related discipline
- Interested in (Household) Finance topics
- Very good knowledge of the German and English language (C1-level or higher)
- Ideally first experience in academic work in the area of Finance (e.g. Seminars or Bachelor Thesis)
- Good knowledge of MS Office
- Ideally knowledge of statistical software (e.g. STATA)
- Experience in creating descriptive graphics and visualizations from Excel data
- Excellent organizational skills and analytical thinking
- Ability to work independently, and high reliability

The position is for 12 months from the earliest possible date, on average 40 hours per month - the temporal distribution of working hours is negotiable.
