HV Capital is looking for a Chief of Staff to work closely with one of our GPs, Rainer Märkle, on Investor Relations and Firm Management Projects. This role is an exceptional opportunity to work at the core of one of Europe's leading VCs.

As a versatile project manager, organizer, communicator and operator, you will find a multi-faceted role with plenty of opportunities for personal growth. You will learn from and be the right hand to one of our General Partners. You will be at the interface of all departments, and your projects will require balancing relentless execution and strategic thinking:

- Investor Relations: The Limited Partner side of our business
- Fundraising process: working on and completing a new fundraise with all its aspects internally and externally.
- Limited Partner relations: track all investor contacts in Salesforce CRM, follow up on interactions, provide materials, and impress people with HV's interaction.
- Investor Reporting: compile the reporting with the help of the Finance and the Investment team, produce and distribute state-of-art documents to investors
- Board and annual meetings: schedule, prepare and help run the various physical or virtual meetings with investors.
- Firm management:

- Help smoothen all operational processes in HV's machine room.
- Track and help manage the core investment processes.
- Manage new projects and initiatives
- Special projects:

- Everything where you can help the General Partner maximize the impact

This role is not a traditional investment position, and the direct exposure to deal flow, entrepreneurs and companies will be limited. Yet working in the firm's operating core and machine room is a rare opportunity.

To best qualify for the position, you should be structured, analytical, well-organized and disciplined in project management: a clear thinker, strategist, and generalist who wants to execute and get things done. An operator who likes working on multiple projects simultaneously, loves organizing things, is keen to manage processes, shows attention to detail, follows up on decisions to secure results, and strives to make everything more efficient. If (any of) this resonates with you, then you will love this position.

Your background might be 1-3 years in operational roles in consulting, banking, start-ups, or different backgrounds. This experience will have already trained you on clear communication, the ability to concisely express written language, preparing state-of-the-art decks, working efficiently on CRM tools, and digesting Excel charts into consumable formats. You love using tech and tools for your work. Carried by a clear set of values and an upbeat personality, you are a person connecting well with everybody in our firm.

We require impeccable English skills for this role. German is not necessary whilst we hope you can participate in the usual German Office Banter and express yourself in social situations.
