System Administrator

Your Tasks

We are looking for an experienced, German-speaking IT System Administrator full-time to strengthen our small but growing IT team at our Berlin campus. With a lot of passion and commitment, you will be responsible for our IT infrastructure and network technology and will be the central point of contact for these topics.

The Digital Career Institute was born as an initiative to integrate refugees into the digital job market. Today, we are committed to training anyone interested in pursuing a career in tech, no matter your experience, background, or age. We provide everything our students need to succeed, including computer equipment, language courses, and if necessary, even mobile internet.

**As a System Administrator, your responsibilities include**:

- All topics concerning network technology and IT infrastructure are your responsibility.
- As a co-administrator for Microsoft products, you are responsible for Microsoft 365 licenses and MS Teams for schools, as well as user administration for Google accounts.
- You will help new colleagues get familiar with the IT tools via training sessions.
- You also obtain the requirements of the various stakeholders and implement these accordingly where necessary.
- In IT support, you like to solve technical problems and find a solution to various requests.
- With your precise and careful manner, you document all IT processes.
- In this context, you help us with the permanent expansion of our knowledge base (Confluence).
- You supervise our VoIP telephone system.

Your Skills
- You have completed vocational training or can demonstrate comparable experience in the field of computer science or IT.
- You are familiar with Windows, Apple, and Linux.
- The various network technologies and IT System Administration is not new to you.
- You are motivated to develop and expand the current processes and structures in the IT area and are not afraid to make decisions in this regard.
- Independence and a sense of responsibility characterize you just as much as reliability and initiative.
- You also have experience with cloud providers like Google, Atlassian, and Slack.
- You speak German on a native level, and at best you have a good command of English.
- Furthermore, you like to educate yourself independently and quickly familiarize yourself with complex issues.
- Your sense of humor rounds out your profile, as well as your strong service-minded approach.

At the Digital Career Institute gGmbH, we have set ourselves the goal of becoming the talent factory for young professionals in the booming digital industry. Since 2016, we have been making a sustainable contribution in the area of training and continuing education, and we already have four locations: Berlin, Hamburg, Düsseldorf and Leipzig.

From the original initiative to create new future prospects for Refugees, we have developed into an established tech institute for people of all nationalities and backgrounds. Together with our highly qualified team of lecturers and management, we are all working on one mission: To offer the best possible training for interested people to enable them to start a job in the digital industry.
