**Introduction**

Carnival Maritime is the marine service unit for the Costa Group, a pioneer and leader in Europe’s cruise industry.

The unit bundles marine operation competencies and best practices providing the highest safety, health, environmental and compliance standards for cruising. Our focus is on enhancing and facilitating effective communication and efficient processes between ship and shore. With the aspiration of achieving net carbon-neutral ship operations by 2050, Carnival Maritime has established a new center of excellence with a specific mandate to support the company by defining and executing the decarbonization strategy and its associated multidimensional technological challenges.

With its service and innovation, Carnival Maritime enables the vessels of the two Costa Group brands, Costa Crociere and AIDA Cruises, to meet the current and future needs of the cruise industry.

**Your Responsibilities**
- Advice the Company in all legal matters in a diverse international environment
- Provide operational day-to-day legal support as a strong Business Partner
- Draft and negotiate domestic and international contracts and other documentations for business transactions and projects
- Cooperate with outside counsel/external law firms representing the Company
- Work closely with business management to address issues and risks

**Your Profile**
- German bachelor’s degree in Law with a specialization in Maritime Law. Master’s degree in Maritime Law and or/ International Commercial Law is a plus
- At least 5 years of professional experience in national and/or international law firms in the fields of maritime, civil, commercial, corporate or international law
- Experience in counselling in the fields of maritime, civil, commercial, corporate and international law, SOLAS, MARPOL and IMO regulations and resolutions
- Solid commercial acumen
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent analytical and organizational skills with a flexible mindset and can-do attitude
- Excellent command of the English and German languages
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools
- Admission to the German bar is desirable
