As part of a small but ambitious team, you’ll take ownership of daily bookkeeping, periodic reconciliations, and collaboration with our external accounting partners—laying the foundation for optimizing key financial operations and enabling faster, cleaner financial closings. This is a highly autonomous and impactful role where you’ll help us streamline processes, enhance reporting accuracy, and prepare the business for financial audits. Ensure all financial transactions across our German and Swiss entities are accurately recorded, reconciled, and audit-ready—while continuously improving and documenting our accounting processes. **What You'll do**: **Daily & Weekly Responsibilities** - Process and book expenses and invoices with proper VAT treatment and account classification - Review daily bank reconciliations and ensure correct payment entries - Monitor accounts receivable and billing accuracy **Monthly & Quarterly Tasks** - Liaise with external accountants and ensure timely sharing and review of financial documents - Conduct monthly closing reviews and perform internal adjustments - Help reduce closing timelines - Support invoice creation and client billing **Project-Based & Strategic Contributions** - Design scalable, automation-friendly processes for recurring accounting tasks - Improve data sharing processes with external accountants - Support preparation for the 2025 financial audit **What We're Looking For**: Must-Haves: - 1-3 years’ experience in accounting or finance operations - Solid understanding of **German GAAP** (or alternatively Swiss GAAP) - Working knowledge of **DATEV**, **ABACUS**, or similar accounting software - Intermediate to advanced **Excel** skills - Proficient in **German (B2 & above)** and in **English** - Detail-oriented with a process - and data-driven mindset - Critical thinker who can flag and resolve inconsistencies proactively Nice-to-Haves: - Experience with ERP systems and automation tools - Familiarity with **US GAAP** - Exposure to startup environments or cross-border accounting **Why Join Us**: - Make an Impact: Your work will directly contribute to improving mental health in workplaces around the world. - Ownership: You'll have the chance to take full ownership of our data initiatives and shape our dashboard from the ground up. - Innovative Environment: Work in a greenfield space where your ideas aren't just welcome—they're essential. - Collaborative Team: Join a supportive team where collaboration and innovation are at the heart of what we do.
