Payroll Associate

This hire will report to the Managing Director of Schrödinger GmbH. The position can be filled both full-time (40 hours per week) or part-time, with a minimum of 20 hours per week. **Who will love this job**: - A dynamic and motivated payroll specialist who takes pride in working efficiently - A detail-oriented collaborator with excellent verbal and written communication skills - An accomplished multi-tasker who enjoys working across geographical and departmental boundaries **What you'll do**: - Coordinate monthly payroll for a workforce of 80+ people located in Germany, France, Netherlands, and Ireland with external payroll solution providers - Manage payroll-related on - and off-boarding - Collaborate with our tax consultant and accounting company to ensure correct and on-time execution of payroll payments and reporting requirements - Provide first level support of all payroll related questions for employees of applicable countries - Collaborate closely with our global finance, accounting, and HR departments on all topics regarding global payroll (salary adjustments, bonus payments, reporting, etc.) - Assist with tasks overlapping with payroll (benefits, social security, company pension, etc.) - Assist team with preparing and checking travel expense reports based on internal policies and external accounting accuracy **What you should have**: - Fluency in German and excellent command of English - Vocational training in a payroll - or accounting-related field or a business degree - Experience with payroll processing according to German regulations - Proficiency in Microsoft Office - The following would be a plus: - Payroll background in any other country named above - Familiarity with equity compensation (i.e., reporting, training and compliance for stock options, employee stock purchase plan, restricted stock units) **What we offer**: - A highly motivated international workplace with growth potential - Internal mentorship and training - Competitive salary and a flexible working environment - Annual company shutdown in addition to regular vacation days Our benefits include local transport reimbursement, a BahnCard 50, our employee equity plan, the EGYM Wellpass (corporate fitness program), bike leasing, an employee volunteer program, donation match program, access to the Corporate Benefits platform, a dedicated counseling service, and our travel insurance.
