**A DAY IN THE LIFE**

The HR Operations Senior Specialist works collaboratively across the HR Operations team to support a positive employee experience and interaction with HR and plays a critical role in ensuring that HR systems are being leveraged to support automation and HR continuous improvement efforts. He or she dedicates approx. 50% of the time to support projects, implementations and company-wide or regional initiatives, whereas the other 50% is operational work. He or she leads by example and acts as a mentor for the other specialists in the team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Act as a mentor for a team of HR Operations Coordinators and Specialists in accordance with the OLX Leadership Behaviors

**Drive adoption and effective performance of HRMS systems and tools**:

- Acts as a Super User for HRMS tools and systems and ensures functionality is being utilized to its fullest.
- Supports coordination of end-user training in cooperation with third party vendors; identifies, coaches and addresses end-user knowledge gaps and areas of improvement to drive best in class use of system functionality.
- Analyzes recommendations for system improvements and upgrades and creates a business case containing costs and benefits analysis for review by HR Operations Manager and/or HR Operations Senior Manager.
- Collaborates with respective teams in the planning, testing, and implementation of new system functionality and tools.

**Oversee day-day HR programs and policies**:

- Identifies and helps to coordinate policy updates
- Supports rollout and implementation of new or updated policies, helps monitor adoption and employee feedback sentiment.
- Actively participates in the monthly payroll inputs process and shares information with the Finance team

**Respond and resolve complex employee and manager inquiries regarding HR and OLX Corporate policies and provide the appropriate resources to effectively resolve the issue**:

- Use judgement on when to escalate to HRBPs and/or others as needed
- Maintain a detailed understanding of OLX HR policies and processes in order to support employee and managers in resolving first line questions and issues
- Act as mentor for the other Specialists in the team in query handling

**Champion and support a proactive, efficient, and accurate approach to collecting, maintaining, and updating employee data**:

- Ensure compliance with all OLX policies and legal requirements
- Identify data inconsistencies, via regular audits/reviews, and work collaboratively to resolve in a timely manner
- Assist others on the team in processing employee transactions and resolving problems and inconsistencies with data
- Compile and support reporting needs related to payroll, absences, leaves, etc., as defined

**Acts as a super user for HR systems**:

- Stay up to date on relevant functionality of HR systems
- Support the training and guidance of team members on use of the HR systems
- Provide education and support to employees and managers on the use of the HR systems to promote self-service

**KNOWLEDGE/FUNCTIONAL SKILLS**:

- Digital Integration: is able to leverage technology to support increasing efficiency and to drive HR and business value.
- Analytical Thinking: is able to identify and address issues by evaluating different data points, seeing patterns, identifying trends and turning this information into action with the support of HR Operations Manager and/or Senior Manager
- Customer Service Oriented: Able to ask questions to understand customer needs: responding quickly, efficiently, accurately and in accordance with OLX guidelines.
- Employment Laws: Understands the compliance requirements based on local labor laws and ensures that OLX is fully compliant; is able to identify risks and provide mitigation strategies and consult with business leaders
- Strong computer skills, familiarity with Google Workspace programs as well as good working knowledge of MS Excel and Word
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with ability to handle multiple projects in fast-paced environment
- Ability to positively interact with multiple levels within the organization
