**Research assistant (WHB) (M/F/x) with a Bachelor's degree**:
The Center for Religious Studies (CERES) is a central academic institution of the Ruhr-Universität. It initiates and coordinates religious studies-related activities in the areas of research, teaching, promotion of young academics and knowledge transfer. The SFB 1475 “Metaphors of Religion” combines religious studies, philological and linguistic research on the significance of metaphors for the formation of religious meaning. The research is historical-diachronic and culturally comparative. The sub-project A04 deals with the metaphorological construction and manifestation of eschatological concepts in the Avestan texts and Pahlavi literature.

**Your tasks**:

- Transferring Middle Persian texts from the MPCD database to the SFB database
- Introducing metaphor annotation into the SFB database
- Providing assistance with scientific research in the project

**Your profile**:

- Good command of Middle Persian
- Very good knowledge of English
- Good knowledge of German and experience in the field of digital processing of historical text sources are appreciated

**Further information**:
The opening is for an undergraduate assistant and is governed by - 6 of the Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz (engl. Academic Fixed-Term Contract Act; WissZeitVG). The hourly wage is 16,30 €.

It will be checked whether an employment as a research assistant (TV-L E12) is possible.
