Duties & responsibilities
- Gives accurate and timely counsel to executives on a variety of legal topics (i. e. business standards, contract law, commercial law procedures, capital market)
- Collaborates with management to devise efficient defense strategies
- Researches and evaluates different risk factors regarding business decisions and operations
- Applies effective risk management techniques and offers proactive advice on possible legal issues
- Communicates and negotiates with external parties and creates a relationship of trust
- Drafts and solidifies agreements, contracts, and other legal documents to ensure Scope’s full legal rights
- Deals with complex matters with multiple stakeholders and forces
- Provides clarification on legal language, specifications, legal matters, or legal actions
- Conducts the work with integrity and responsibility
- Maintains current knowledge of alterations in legislation

Professional & personal qualifications
- At least 4 years of overall professional experience, especially as a legal counsel in a business environment
- Second State Examination
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of German Civil Law, general corporate law, and procedures
- Full comprehension of the legal influences of the external environment of a corporation
- Demonstrated ability to create legal defensive or proactive strategies
- High degree of professional ethics, integrity, and openness combined with a commitment to good governance
- Understands the way to solve practical legal issues and act as a business partner to maintain the high legal standard
- Sound judgment and ability to analyze situations and information
- Ability to handle high levels of pressure and critical decision-making
- Outstanding communication skills. Fluent in English and German and ideally also in other languages
