**Company Description**:

Today, we stand strong as Europe’s leading online pet platform, delivering moments of happiness to more than 9 million pet parents each year.As a Data Scientist at zooplus, you will join a department with cross-functional teams working in outbound logistics domain. Starting from order placement until successful delivery through packaging, routing, and shipment, we ensure to make the most optimal decisions to utilize our growing logistics network and offer the best service to our customers. In this role you will:

- Collaborate with domain experts and software developers to create end-to-end solutions.
- Design, implement, validate optimization models and integrate them into existing products.
- Identify patterns and anomalies in models’ behavior and provide necessary maintenance.
- Explore optimization opportunities and verify them through simulations and experiments.
- Implement data visualization techniques to present insights and trends discovered.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams within an agile framework.

**Qualifications**:
You are best equipped for the role if you have:

- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, a relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- Proficiency in Python
- Strong experience with linear and mixed integer Optimization Models
- Knowledge of database technologies, SQL, Pandas, REST APIs, etc., and data integration strategies
- A growth mindset and a genuine enthusiasm for continuous learning
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Have practical experience with Machine Learning and Forecasting
- Be familiar with AWS cloud
- Follow the best practices of software development and maintenance

Our technical stack and engineering practices include:

- Python - Gurobi - Oracle / PostgreSQL / Amazon Athena - Amazon Web Services and Terraform - Kubernetes and Docker
- CI/CD with Jenkins pipelines - Git - Scrum, Peer Reviews, Pair Programming
