**Your challenge**:
As a Senior Accountant within the Finance Team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our compliance with accounting standards (IFRS and HGB) and leading the implementation of the IFRS conversion. You will create internal accounting policies and procedures for the IFRS General Ledger (GL) part, manage monthly GL tasks, actively contribute to the team's development in GL accounting activities, and take ownership of key responsibilities such as annual accounts creation and pre-audit preparation.

**Your team**:
You will be a valued member of the Accounting Team which currently consists of five members. Together, the team is dedicated to supporting the operational finance needs of the company. You will collaborate closely with your teammates and other stakeholders within the finance department to ensure accurate financial reporting.

**Your responsibilities**:

- Oversee the completion of global audits and regional audits, as applicable.
- Serve as the finance lead for significant and unusual transactions requiring senior technical accounting experience.
- Ensure the proper delivery and execution of financial systems and process changes, ensuring their appropriate operationalization.
- Manage the monthly close process and ensure the accuracy and completeness of the financial statements and group consolidation process, as applicable.
- Develop internal accounting policies and procedures for the IFRS General Ledger (GL) portion, including accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Ensure compliance with HGB and/or accounting standards and timely and accurate filing of all statutory returns, including statutory accounts.
- Manage and perform monthly GL tasks, such as account reconciliations and journal entries, following IFRS guidelines.
- Actively contribute to the growth and development of the team in GL accounting activities, sharing knowledge and best practices.
- Take charge of creating annual accounts in compliance with IFRS and/or HGB.
- Prepare and coordinate pre-audit activities and preparations.
- Act as a key contributor during the annual accounts audit, working closely with auditors and stakeholders.
- Lead the IFRS conversion project, ensuring a smooth and accurate transition to IFRS reporting.

**Your profile**:

- Bachelor's or associate's degree in accounting or a related specialization.
- At least five years of experience in general ledger accounting, adhering to German GAAP (HGB) and IFRS.
- Strong analytical and time management skills.
- Solution-oriented mindset with the ability to identify and implement process improvements.
- Substantial experience with ERP systems, preferably with knowledge of Netsuite.
- Proficiency in using accounting software, such as Datev.
- Preferred experience working in a start-up environment.
- Empathetic, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work while being effective at cross-functional collaboration.
- Knowledge of German and English language
- Nice to have: international VAT, as well as an understanding of transfer pricing and corporate tax.
