**The job**
In this new position, you will be a key member of our finance team, working closely with Finance Director Sören Tretau on the daily financial operations. As Finance Controller, you will be the main financial partner to our business units, supporting financial reporting, budgeting and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulations.

Your tasks and responsibilities will include:

- Being a **Proactive Business Partner**:

- Handle the preparation of **Financial Reports **as well as assisting with **Budgeting & Forecasting** matters
- Perform **Variance Analyses **and handle **Cost Control**:

- Assist with the reconciliation of accounts, ensuring accurate financial records are maintained.
- Ensure that internal controls are in place, financial risks are minimized, and compliance with financial regulations (IFRS/HGB) and company policies is maintained.
- Be a support during internal and external **audits**:

- **Data Management**: Maintain and ensure the integrity of financial data in accounting systems.

Overall, you will contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial systems and processes, ensuring transparency and efficiency across all financial activities.

Most importantly, you can be critical and precise, but also pragmatic when necessary. To be successful at Heinrich Brüning GmbH, it is important that you have a 'self-starter' mentality, be open-minded, curious and entrepreneurial. In addition, you can identify with the following requirements:

- You have a bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English as well as good verbal communication skills in German.
- 3-5 years of experience in a finance, accounting, or controlling role (internship experience will be considered) are necessary.
- ** Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial modelling.
- Familiarity with accounting software (SAP / Infor) is a plus.
- Basic understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS), and tax principles.
- ** Analytical Skills**: Strong numerical and analytical abilities with attention to detail.
- The soft skills** Communication, Problem-solving and Time Management **are one of your strengths.
