We now have a vacancy for **a Head of Operations and Business Development** for our office in Waldkirch, Germany. This role will have responsibility for business development and operations management. This includes expanding /developing business within current customers, develop new business within the target market as well as managing the Artwork Operations and External Artwork Support teams in relation to their day-to-day production work, ensuring that all work is coordinated and implemented efficiently and to Perigord's high standards.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Build and develop new business within the target market area to achieve short, medium and long term revenue targets for the business
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities and maintain sales forecasts
- Play a lead role in developing contacts / decision makers in major customer to drive market traction
- Conduct relevant presentations to prospective customers as well as representing the company at industry events and trade shows
- Provide advice and insights to senior management on expansion from immediate target market area to develop the business further in the DACH region
- Implementation of the current business unit strategy for Operations management
- Liaising with Account Managers in relation to customer requirements, customer reviews and account development
- Management of overall production capacity and resources in Perigord’s Waldkirch Artwork Center
- Co-ordination of the day-to-day operations including liaising with the Team Leads, Team Members and Customers as required.
- Maintain overall Internal/External Quality levels in conjunction with Team Leads and Quality team
- Management of overall OTD in conjunction with Team Leads
- Ensure all Team Leads meet their responsibilities and performance goals in line with business unit and department plans and per the Team Lead Job Spec
- Planning of adequate resourcing of teams to meet production schedules. Work closely with Human Resources in the recruitment and selection of new personnel.
- Continuously improve processes in terms of customer value, quality and efficiency - implementing CI projects as required
- Informing employees of all relevant regulations and compliance to same, ensuring training and development to meet resource plan
- Regular reports/updates to senior management in relation to performance KPIs, scheduling issues and concerns

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Minimum 10 years experience in business development and operations management, ideally in a global business environment in pharma, CPG
- Proven leadership competencies such as agile leadership, positive risk-taking, appreciative leadership with intercultural competence, hands-on mentality, trust-building, reflective conflict behaviour and fostering change
- Confident meeting current and prospective customers and presenting to them, as well as positively and pro-actively representing the company
- Proven track record managing large teams in a focused KPI environment, including recruitment and development of team members.
- Has successfully onboarded key account(s) in a structured manner
- Proven track record delivering efficiencies and improvements on all KPIs with high customer and quality focus
- Ability to instigate, plan, execute, control and close out process improvement projects
- Ability to develop strong working relationships with stakeholders across various functions and cultures. Encourage and instil similar co-operative work ethic within teams
- Sound business acumen, eager to develop business relationships in the region
- Exceptional understanding of artwork construction and all related quality requirements
- Willing to travel to client and Perigord locations, primarily in Europe
- Positive nature with a collaborative work attitude
- Must be native German speaker and have excellent English language skills, both written and verbal and be resident in Germany
