Field Service Technician

**Purpose of Position (Summary)** This position will be responsible for providing technical service to customers, end-users, to resolve product, service and troubleshooting repairs requests regarding technical issues related to MSA products and to prepare and conduct Trainings to customers. It shall work on Maintenance and Repair as Field Technician + have capabilities to conduct Service Trainings. **Responsibilities** **Repairing and servicing MSA equipment** - Repairs, Maintenance and Initiation MSA Products, portable gas private and industrial sector. - Receive work orders from dispatching department and perform orders efficiently, customer orientated and with a high level technical expertise. - Be part of our 24 hour emergency repair team. - if required - Support calculation of contracts - Fill out Service Report accurate and update Location data if necessary in CRM - Maintaining service’s machinery, equipment, instruments and tools in a good technical shape. - Providing high quality services to a customer. **Conduct service trainings** - Train Technicians, MSA Personnel or Customer on products of MSA, focusing on new products and main Portable Gas - Perform Trainings for customers: Training of Customers ( e.g. Fire Brigades, Channel Partners, Industrial user). - Prepare and perform Training - Design Training formats and Service concepts. **Completing customer’s service requests** - Providing service to customers according to service agreements or terminal orders. - Providing information to the Service Administrator or the Service Manager in order to prepare quotations for customers regarding service jobs. - Providing high quality customer service and maintaining a good company image. **Fulfillment of operational requirements** - Project Work and daily business - Cooperation in projects to improve service processes. - CIP activities. - Defining spare parts needed/required and forwarding the request to the Service Administrator. - By fulfilling the required service documentation - By following all procedures required by an organization regarding the service process - By preparing reports depending on the demand and on the request of a supervisor. - Other activities as assigned by a supervisor **Qualifications **Experience (required)** - Fluent German speaking and writing C1/C2 Level, English advanced - Electrician license - Technical Experience - min 2 years technical/mechanical experience - Capable to provide Trainings - MS Office > Word and Excel advanced - Experience in Service activities - Self-motivation & focus is a must **Experience (preferred)** - Self contained breathing apparatus, Fixed gas and flame detection Products and Service (also KO2 and FP) - Use of Service Tools as CRM and SAP **Education (required)** - Technical High School or Degree or equivalent from business experience **Education (preferred)** - Technician or BSC, just graduated e.g. mechatronic or electronical engineer - Travel: 70 % **We offer** - Be part of something meaningful and make a difference in safety business * - Group Life Assurance - 25 days holidays - Internet connection - Work environment and culture that embrace diversity - Company car for private reasons - Laptop, cell phone Ability to commute/relocate: - Baden-Baden: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)
