We are looking for you We are currently hiring a Head of Public Markets Risk EU (f/m/d) who is responsible for the independent risk oversight of liquid assets (Equity, Fixed-Income and Multi-Asset) in Europe. Within this exciting role you will provide an outstanding independent risk oversight based on the AllianzGI global risk framework by acting locally in the region and report directly to the Global Head of Risk, based in Germany. This role is to be filled in our Frankfurt office. **Key responsibilities**: - Support the Global Head of Risk in providing an accurate view of the risk profile of the portfolios in Europe across Equity, Multi-Assets and Fixed-Income - Ensure appropriate implementation of the global risk management policies and guidelines with any additional regional or local regulatory requirements if needed - Promote an effective dialogue and constructive challenges and engage regularly with investment teams across asset classes in relation to investment risks of the portfolios in your region - Responsibility for the design and development of an end-to-end independent risk oversight of business divisions in the first line and asset classes by measuring, analyzing, supervising and reporting risks to stakeholders (ex-ante & ex-post) due to “Risk” standards - Lead and guide the European risk team in terms of performing in depth analysis to better understand risks in the portfolios - Design and produce accurate portfolio risk reports in a timely fashion as required by the business in line with “Risk Technology & Solutions" Team - Perform ad-hoc quantitative analysis and regular stress-testing on portfolios to assess downside risk based on the stress-testing framework in place with the support of the Risk Technology & Solutions **Key Requirements/Skills/Experience** - Ideally 10-15 years’ experience regarding investment risk with validated managerial experience. Portfolio management experience will be highly valued - Extensive experience in the Equity risk space and deep Equity investment risk, Fixed Income and Multi-Asset investment risk as well as experience within risk management in the financial industry - Demonstrated experience in working for an Asset Manager at Senior Risk Management level within a buy-side firm - Proven knowledge and current experience of tactic risk management and governance frameworks, methodologies, and emerging practice due to the regulator(s) of your region - Proficiency in English is required, further languages are beneficial - Strong technical knowledge on counterparty risk management in order to support the global policy and an ability to translate this into practical solutions for AllianzGI - Ability to demonstrate a clear understanding of risk management (especially investment risk) **About Allianz Global Investors** Allianz Global Investors is a leading active asset manager with over 700 investment professionals in 23 offices worldwide and managing EUR 673 billion in assets.
