We are a fast-growing beauty start-up founded in 2020 and located in the heart of Berlin. Our team comprises over 80 brilliant individuals from all over the world who actively shape Yepoda’s story. In 2023, we doubled our revenue compared to the previous year and continue to grow at a remarkable pace. This growth comes with exciting challenges, particularly in scaling and aligning our accounting processes across international markets.

**Your Tasks**

As the Head of Accounting, you will play a key role in driving Yepoda’s financial strategy and ensuring that our accounting infrastructure scales in alignment with our rapid growth and international expansion. Your responsibilities include:
**Financial Management**:

- Lead and optimize accounting processes to** keep pace with our dynamic growth.**
- Oversee the preparation and review of accurate financial statements, reports, and budgets.
- Manage the day-to-day financial operations, including accounts payable/receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
- Collaborate closely with external auditors and tax advisors for seamless audits and tax filings.

**Scalability & Internationalization**:

- Integrate scalable systems and workflows to** adapt to increasing complexity**as the company expands internationally.
- Oversee financial coordination between international entities to ensure compliance and efficiency.
- Standardize processes and address intercompany reconciliation to support operational alignment.

**Compliance and Reporting**:

- Ensure adherence to German HGB and international accounting standards such as IFRS.
- Prepare and submit detailed financial reports to senior management and external stakeholders.
- Stay ahead of regulatory changes and implement necessary adjustments across accounting practices.

**Strategic Planning**:

- Contribute to the development of financial strategies and long-term financial planning.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to support decision-making by senior management.

**Your Profile**

You are a motivated and strategic thinker with a passion for tackling challenges head-on. As an experienced accounting professional, you excel in fast-paced, evolving environments and have the expertise to build scalable systems that align with a growing international business. Your qualifications include:

- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- A recognized accounting qualification such as Bilanzbuchhalter/in, Steuerberater/in, or an international equivalent (CPA/ACCA).
- Minimum 5 years of experience in accounting/finance roles, ideally with a strong background in e-commerce or start-ups.
- Deep knowledge of HGB and familiarity with IFRS.
- Proficiency in DATEV and advanced accounting software.
- Proven experience in managing intercompany transactions, transfer pricing, and international financial operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
