This challenge awaits you:
Your Tasks:

- You support the analysis, evaluation and further development of methods for detecting anomalies in time series.
- You will work with complex data sets to support development processes in the automotive sector
- You evaluate and present the latest technologies and methods, including frameworks, libraries and tools and support the automation of processes in the AI environment, including AI training.

Necessary Skills:

- Ongoing Master's degree in computer science, mathematics, data science or a comparable degree program
- Sound knowledge of statistics and machine learning as well as advanced programming skills, especially in Python
- Basic understanding of software development
- Enthusiasm for software development, ML and AI
- Proactive hands-on mentality and ability to work independently
- Fluency in English or German to at least C1 level

Desired Skills:

- Experience with ML libraries such as scikit-learn, TensorFlow or PyTorch
- Knowledge in the use of optimization frameworks (e.g. optuna, Ray Tune)
- Practical experience with Git and cloud technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes)
- Interdisciplinary thinking and agile mindset

Remuneration is based on our collective wage and salary agreement. The final thesis is remunerated with a monthly salary of EUR 979.

IAV’s largest development center is located in Gifhorn, in close proximity to Volkswagen, our key account customer and shareholder. More than 3,000 development engineers from all disciplines and areas of expertise work here to develop the mobility solutions of the future. The technical infrastructure at this site is also second to none. It extends from our own crash facility via various roller dynamometers, battery and fuel cell test benches, acoustic labs and climate chambers through to the VR Lab for virtual and augmented reality (xReality).
