About the Role

HARMAN’s Corporate Strategy team drives the long-term plan and goals for HARMAN. The Director Corporate Strategy, Lifestyle Technology will lead and advance the Lifestyle Division's technology capabilities and roadmap that contribute to the long-term growth and development of the Lifestyle business. The role will report to the Sr. Director Strategy - Lifestyle. In this role you provide the outside view on emerging technologies and trends. You will proactively seek technology partnerships and guide in-organic growth opportunities.

Your Team

This position has no direct reports and will be an individual contributor role with access to the project-related virtual teams and business stakeholders.

What You Will Do
- Monitor, understand, and assess business impact of technology trends related to Consumer Audio and Professional Audio, Video, and Lighting products and services
- Track, report, infer strategies and provide insights on HARMAN’s competitors' technology strategy and competitive positioning, globally and across product categories
- Develop in-depth competitive intelligence for key competitors including product, feature and technology roadmaps
- Advance the development of leading indicators and foresights related to technology-trends that contribute and enhance customer experience
- Drive new and existing technology partnerships, e.g., co-development projects, and other IP-related topics
- Identify new technology partners offering technical assets in home audio, headphone, and gaming, e.g., AI/ML algorithms, DSP technologies, sensor expertise

What You Need
- Master or Bachelors degree in electrical and acoustic engineering or related field
- 10+ years of experience in Consumer Electronics, Consumer Audio, Semiconductors
- Extensive network with technology and audio start-up incubators and university research programs
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills to anticipate future technology trends and developments
- Experience managing and leading large projects
- Strong leadership, ownership of results, negotiating and collaboration skills
- Impactful communication skills, both written and verbal with an ability to clearly articulate messages to senior stakeholders and all levels of the organization

What is Nice to Have
- Previous experience working within a global matrixed organization
- Experience with intelligence tools, e.g., AlphaSense, Pitchbook, and Patent/trademark databases

What Makes You Eligible
- Be willing to travel up to 25%, domestic and international travel.
- Be willing to work remotely and occasionally in an office located in Germany
