Redstone Commodity Search are working with a European focussed steel trader / steel trading platform looking to hire a Head of Steel Trading to run their European trading business.
**Key Responsibilities / Tasks**
- Establishing the trading business unit of the company, with full ownership of your PnL
- Generating physical steel trading activity (including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, flat rolled, wire rod, billets) across a defined geography or product category
- Develop and drive sales strategy, utilising existing client relationships and establishing a new customer base
- Structure sales operations and processes
- Role reports to the Board of Directors
**Key Qualifications / Experience**
- 10+ years’ experience trading steel across Europe (including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, flat rolled, wire rod, billets)
- Have a proven track record as a steel as a steel trader across Europe or a specific Geography
- Understand the entirety of the trade life cycle (including credit risk and logistic services)
- Proficiency in English is required, with other languages being a bonus
- Role can be located anywhere in Europe, but the first quarter will be based in Germany
