**Talent & Staffing Lead/Manager (f/m/x)**

**POSITION** **SUMMARY**
You act as holistic owner of the Consulting Team Talent pipeline and employment experience with a close focus on the business needs of BCG BrightHouse and the professional development of our consulting staff. You will drive the business' overall objectives (e.g., team need balance and staff utilization), identify talent needs and patterns across, and use that knowledge to navigate strategies and support individuals in their staffing and developmental needs. In this role, you will partner with regional leadership and the global and local HR and Operation teams to support the consulting cohorts, focusing on the needs of the firm, cohorts, and individuals. You will be assigned to our Berlin office and work closely with colleagues in the region and globally.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**
In the Talent & Staffing Lead/ Manager role, you would be good at and focus your time and talents on the following.
**Talent Staffing**:
- Responsible for optimizing the deployment of a specific cohort(s) of consulting resources to meet our business needs while ensuring that each consulting staff member in the cohort(s) receives the right set of opportunities to support their Career Development objectives and their overall long-term professional goals
- Work with BrightHouse leadership and HR Director to optimize team design, billability, and achievement of business priorities through a deep awareness of currently available skills, cases, leads/proposals, and office/firm goals; maintain a view of the staffing pipeline at a macro and micro level (overall business outlook as well as specific staffing needs)
- Build strong relationships with Consulting Team staff to understand development needs, preferences, and constraints for staffing
- Work with Advocates and Advees on staffing choices to achieve a balance between business needs and personal preferences if possible; communicate staffing decisions and related rationale; set and enforce staffing policies and expectations
- Coordinate Cross Office Staffing (COS) opportunities with other BCG BrightHouse offices
- Career Development and Navigation: Actively engage in the Feedforward process along with the Head of HR
- Act as a strategic thought partner with Strategy and Creative heads to drive functional agenda
- Partner with Advocates on Career Development and Learning opportunities for consultant staff that best suit skill gaps and career goals
- Motivate, help to develop, and provide coaching and advice to all members of the team
- Mobility: Assist HR Directors in setting the broader mobility strategy for cohort(s); understand all offerings and manage individual participation in various mobility programs
**Talent Acquisition/ Recruiting**:
- Work with directors and leadership to identify recruiting needs as well as reasonable and diverse talent sources
- Work with other offices and recruiters, as well as with BCG and outside agencies and resources if needed
- Push for feedback and decision making within the recruiting process
- Actively engage with new joiners early in their BCG BrightHouse experience; participate in the conversion process; adapt early experiences to meet likely development needs in the first project
- Assist leadership and HR and Operations Directors with people planning based on staffing demands and needs
- Diversity and Inclusion: Partner closely with diversity network owners and HR director to drive and support inclusion efforts for individuals and across networks
**DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS**
- University Degree; advanced Degree (Masters or MBA) preferred but not required
- Prior consulting or staffing experience is strongly preferred to ensure a deep understanding of our target audience's needs and skills in their roles
- 5+ years' total work experience
- Fluent German language skills at a native speaker level, and very good written and spoken
English language skills
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
- Valid work permit for Berlin
