The Fraunhofer Institute for Organic Electronics, Electron Beam and Plasma Technology FEP is located in Dresden and focuses on developing innovative solutions, technologies and processes for surface modification and organic electronics.
For the development of solutions for various industrial tasks in surface treatment, vacuum coating and for organic semiconductors we use our core competencies in electron beam technology, roll-to-roll technology, plasma-activated large-area and precision coating, technologies for organic electronics, IC design and the development of technological key components.
To support our team, we are looking for students who are interested in **an internship or a position as a student assistant** at our Location **Maria-Reiche-Str. in Dresden-Klotzsche **as soon as possible.
**What you will do**
The topic includes the following tasks for which we are looking for support:
- Familiarization with algorithms for fluorescence detection (measurement of phase shift, IQ modulation and demonstration, others),
- Commissioning and evaluation of the existing sensor system in terms of functionaltiy, performance, accuracy and energy consumption,
- Familiarization with and, if necessary, adaptation of the existing mircocontroller firmware,
- Concept development for a demonstrator incl. mechanics, electronics (printed circuit boards), software,
- Implementation of a demonstrator concept in the form of mechanical design of the housing, design of printed circuit boards, adaption of the firmware.
**What you bring to the table**
This recruitment is intended for **students of measurement technology, automation technology, information technology, device development or similar programs.**
Knowledge of C-Programming and good English skills are required.
Desirable would be experience in microcontroller programming, printed circuit board design or package design as well as good German language skills.

Remuneration according to the general works agreement for employing assistant staff.
In case of an internship, remuneration is according to the regulations of the federal goverment.
This vacancy is temporary and also available on a part-time Basis.
