As Head of Controlling, you will be a strategic sparring partner to the executive team, driving data-based decision-making and creating real business impact. Beyond insightful analysis and clear visual storytelling, you will take the lead in developing controlling processes and building strong internal capabilities. **Activities**: - As Head of Controlling, you will assume overall strategic responsibility for setting up, developing and managing our controlling landscape. You will drive forward the continuous optimisation of the budget, forecasting and planning processes and ensure their integration into the corporate strategy. - You will also take over the technical and personnel management of our Controlling team and be responsible for the further development of the team. - You will develop and be responsible for a holistic system of key figures to manage the company's performance, ensure the quality assurance of all financial data and establish transparent, forward-looking reporting. - You create and present decision-relevant management reports and analyses for the management and actively support them in deriving and implementing measures to achieve the company's goals. - You will be responsible for setting up and maintaining reporting databases and dashboards (e.g. in Power BI). You will ensure clarity of content and visual quality in all reports and presentations. - You will carry out comprehensive variance analyses and profitability calculations and ensure compliance with financial targets and guidelines. - You act as a strategic sparring partner for the management and all departments, promote cross-departmental cooperation and continuously develop the Controlling team both professionally and personally. **Requirements**: - You have relevant experience in controlling or in an FP&A role (>5 years), including relevant experience in leading and coordinating teams. - You have demonstrable responsibility for budgeting and monthly reporting processes. - You have hands-on experience with Power BI or similar tools (e.g. Tableau, Looker) and are able to build and maintain reporting databases and data pipelines. - You have strong skills in the visual design of appealing reports and dashboards for the management. - Your knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint is excellent. - You have a proven track record of developing or establishing controlling processes and are motivated to scale controlling processes with a hands-on approach. - You show a high degree of responsibility, commitment and flexibility to achieve our company goals. - You work in a thorough, analytical and structured manner and have excellent skills in analysing and preparing data. - Sound knowledge of SAP and the implementation of SAP (ideally in S4Hana) is an advantage. - You are fluent in written and spoken German and English. **Team**: You will be part of the Finance & Legal division leading the controlling team. **Application Process**: - Initial call to get to know company - F2F interview (incl. case) - Culture check **About the Company**: cylib ist ein forschungsbasiertes deutsches Scale Up für ganzheitliches Batterierecycling - von der Entladung bis zur Rückgewinnung aller Komponenten der Lithiumbatterie - das 2022 in Aachen von drei visionären Gründern, darunter einer weiblichen Geschäftsführerin, gegründet wurde.
