Summary For the Area "Smart Sensors" we are looking for a "Head of Smart Sensors (f/m/d)" at the Oberkochen site as soon as possible. Your Tasks- Disciplinary management of the Smart Sensors department for interdisciplinary development of thermal imaging devices and camera solutions of all spectral ranges including team substructure.- Ensuring effective and efficient development of innovative, smart and future-oriented products and solutions according to internal and external process-related requirements within the defined time, cost and quality frame- Plan, maintain and develop team-specific capabilities and cross-team collaboration with other development departments and teams- Preparation of budget and resource planning for the area of responsibility- Creating technology and product roadmaps within own area of responsibility- Promotion of modularity, interoperability, standardization as well as cross-divisional solutions over the complete lifecycle (including all software parts)- Development of technical concepts for new developments, taking into account costs, time, quality and manufacturability- Promotion of innovative ideas, intelligent hardware and software features and unique selling propositions as well as support in their implementation in competitive products- Evaluation of customer and user requirements as well as creation or evaluation of technical concepts for development services including the associated cost and schedule planning- Establishment and maintenance of an internal and external technology and competence network for imaging devices, including active participation in scientific events, conferences, and congresses Your Profile- Completed studies in physics, mechanical engineering or a comparable technical engineering science- Several years of experience in the development of optronic devices and systems- Experience in the use of different development standards and methods as well as great interest in state-of-the-art systems engineering approaches- Initial experience in leading development teams as well as strong leadership skills- Very good knowledge of thermal imaging, optics, image processing/optimization and requirements for military products and systems- Flexibility and initiative as well as very good communication and organizational skills- Good ability to explain complex issues in a clear and understandable manner- Confident, convincing and competent appearance- Independent entrepreneurial thinking and acting as well as quality - and solution-oriented way of working- Business fluent German and English skills What we offer you - Location in the middle of the idyllic landscape of the Swabian Alb - Company restaurant, café bar and snack shop - Diverse health offers and sports groups - Working in an innovative environment with exceptional high-tech products at the limits of physics - Attractive remuneration (in accordance metal and electrical industry tariff) - Company pension scheme - Flexible working time models (mobile working, flexitime and part-time, opportunities for sabbaticals, etc.) - Individual development and training opportunities Be the pioneer of our future In case you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Talent Resourcing Team: Mrs Iris Nussbaumer (permanent positions) and Mrs Lea Schmutz (permanent positions) E-Mail:
