Extantia is a leading venture fund that invests in breakthrough climate technologies. We back companies that have the potential to be (1) massively profitable and (2) significantly reduce carbon emissions to enable a net-zero economy. Our team consists of experienced investors, entrepreneurs, and climate experts from all around Europe.

You will be responsible for integrating environmental, social and governance (“ESG”) principles across Extantia’s investment lifecycle. Your role will sit within Extantia’s Climate Labs that forms an integral part of how we make investment decisions. This includes working closely with Extantia’s investment managers and Climate Impact Partners alike to conduct ESG diligence as part of our investment process as well as taking the lead on implementing reporting and monitoring standards across our portfolio and the firm in order to build long-term sustainable businesses.

**Role overview**:

- Regularly review and update our responsible investing strategy, policy and processes in order to remain ahead of industry best practices.
- Further, develop and lead the execution of our EPIC (Extantia Projected Impact Calculation) methodology.
- Promote responsible behaviors among all portfolio companies by sharing best practices and monitoring progress.
- Conduct comprehensive research and analysis of ESG topics.
- Perform reporting to external fund stakeholders that are in compliance with the latest regulation standards.
- Lead projects regarding implementation of ESG tools.

**About You**:

- Degree or equivalent experience in Environmental Engineering/Science, life cycle assessment, Sustainable Resource Management.
- Previous experience in a ESG/LCA position with at least 2-year experience - e.g. as Sustainability Consultant, ESG or LCA Specialist
- Excellent knowledge of the latest ESG market updates
- Fluent in verbal and written English, native is a plus.
- Enjoy rolling up your sleeves and getting things done, even if outside your domain expertise.
- Strong project management and communication skills.
- Self-accountable and creative mindset.
- Worked remotely before, or know that you’d work well within a geographically distributed team that involves working with colleagues all over Europe.
