**PURPOSE OF YOUR JOB
**Group Leader (w/m/d) Drug Product Characterization for Biopharmaceuticals - Liquid Chromatography**

Our “Business Unit Formulation and Lyophilization” is looking for a new colleague, who wants to lead & build up a new team in Martinsried close to Munich. Are you passionate about Formulation and People Management to drive the growth of Coriolis at Martinsried?

**YOUR RESPONSIBILITY**

**People management**- Responsible for (i) building up and (ii) leading a new group of 8 - 12 direct reports, working to support all operational groups in execution of client projects with focus on characterization of biopharmaceutical molecules by using liquid chromatography technologies (HPLC)- Responsible for creating a strategy for building up the group on a qualitative as well as quantitative level and recruit talents- Responsible for career development of the group members (e.g. onboarding, performance appraisal, development plan)- Disciplinary manager of team members

**Business responsibility**- Ensures operational success of the group and associated team members- Secures smooth and sucessful collaboration with all operational groups in execution of client projects as the core focus of the group- Responsible for the successful execution of client activities within the group- Responsible for resource management of the group members (e.g. capacity planning, unit controlling)- Works cooperatively alongside colleagues and key stakeholders across teams (e.g., Business Development, Finance, Technical Support Team, etc.)- Maintains cutting edge scientific knowledge in HPLC separation techniques (e.g. HPLC, UPLC systems of various manufacturers; SEC, IEX, RP and other separation priniciples)- Support the implemention of innovation and continuous improvement of the organization- Responsible to ensure quality related regulations are implemented and followed in the group

**WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED**- Master or equivalent, University degree in (bio)chemistry, biology, medical sciences pharmacy or related field, PhD beneficial- 6+ years experience and in-depth knowledge in drug product development of biopharmaceuticals- Proven track record in building up a new team and leading a team in an interdisciplinary and international environment- Significant experiences as project manager with strong project management skills such as resource management, delegation and controlling, prioritization, risk management and coordination of mutidisciplinary project teams- Leading by example, open for new ideas and tasks, can-do attitudes and hands on mentality- Team player with strong motivation and inter-personal skills- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and German
