**The Position**:
Peptide drugs are one of the most exciting areas in the pharmaceutical industry. You have experience in the non-clinical safety evaluation of peptide therapeutics and would like to contribute on an efficient development for optimal patient benefit? We offer the chance of a scientific leadership position within the department of non-clinical drug safety in Germany. For this expert position working from a remote office is a possibility.

This position is part time eligible with 80%.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- You will implement successful project strategies for peptide drug development in awareness of external requirements or benchmark project strategies.
- Furthermore, you will plan, conduct and supervise preclinical development programs for therapeutic peptides.
- You will represent Boehringer Ingelheim at Health Authority meetings.
- Moreover, you will work as expert author and reviewer of NDA/IND submission documents. The interaction with internal and external stakeholders including regulatory authorities on a global basis will be also part of your tasks.

**Requirements**:

- PhD or equivalent degree in Human Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Biochemistry, Biology, or comparable training/education
- Experience in the non-clinical safety evaluation of therapeutic peptides
- Experience as expert author of non-clinical documents such as IB or CTDs is a plus
- Training in toxicology (preferably with board certificate) or comparable experience is a plus Depending on your experience the position can be designed as a junior, senior, or high-level expert position
