**The Position**:
As a chemical lab technician, you will work together in a dedicated team on the efficient synthesis, process development, and production of peptides as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs).

This position is part time eligible with 80%.

**Tasks & responsibilities**:

- You will support the establishment of a new development laboratory for peptide synthesis within the Chemical Development Germany department.
- You will be responsible for the independent execution of development work for the chemical synthesis and purification of peptides on a gram scale in compliance with applicable EHS and GMP regulations.
- You will contribute to the timely delivery of small-scale APIs to ensure seamless CMC NCE development.
- As a key user, you will be responsible for the independent support of complex technical laboratory equipment and device-specific work instructions (peptide synthesizers, HPLCs,...) and ensure safety in laboratory operations.
- Furthermore, you will independently document results and prepare project and campaign reports. In addition, you will independently coordinate project topics with your colleagues in analytics, research and production.

**Requirements**:

- Completed Bachelor's degree with first professional experience or alternatively completed vocational training as a chemical laboratory technician or pharmacist with several years of professional experience
- Experience in chemical process development and scale-up of peptides
- Knowledge of organic synthesis with a focus on peptide synthesis and corresponding technologies, e.g. SPPS, LPPS, IC, prep. HPLC, HPLC-MS, UF and lyophilization
- Ability to work in a team and willingness to work independently on complex issues, as well as motivation to learn new methods Good written and spoken German and English skills
