Engineering Manager

Your RoleAs an Engineering Manager (f/m/d) at LIQID, you will lead and scale engineering teams that are democratizing access to wealth management solutions previously reserved for the UHNW individuals. You will own the technical vision and execution for critical parts of our digital platform that manages over €3 billion in assets, from our client-facing applications to our sophisticated wealth management platform. You will build high-performing engineering teams while maintaining a hands-on approach to technical leadership. This means actively shaping architecture decisions, driving engineering excellence, and ensuring we deliver exceptional digital experiences that match the quality of our market-leading investment solutions. You'll work closely with Product, Design, and Investment teams to transform how affluent Europeans build and preserve wealth.Our Tech Stack is TypeScript, Node.js, React/React Native, PostgreSQL, Redis, and GCP. While experience with our exact stack is beneficial, we are more interested in your ability to lead teams building scalable, secure financial systems and your excitement about working in a highly regulated fintech environment.What you bring You have 10+ years of software engineering experience with at least 3+ years leading engineering teams in a fast-paced environment, preferably in fintech, digital banking, or investment platformsYou bring deep expertise in building and scaling distributed systems, with hands-on experience in TypeScript/JavaScript or languages like Go, Python or Kotlin/JavaYou have architected and operated highly available, secure systems handling sensitive financial data with experience in AWS, GCP, or AzureYou understand modern frontend and backend architectures, having worked with frameworks like React, React Native, Node.js, or similar, and relational databases like PostgreSQL, or RedisYou have a proven track record of building and mentoring diverse engineering teams, helping engineers grow from junior to senior levels while maintaining high technical standardsYou excel at technical communication - translating complex technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and advocating for engineering needs at the leadership levelYou practice and promote engineering best practices including CI/CD, comprehensive testing strategies, code reviews, and documentationYou will be successful in this role if:Building the future of wealth management excites you.
