The Network Engineer is responsible for analyzing customer requirements and provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate complexity. They will be responsible for performing maintenance, updating configurations, patching, monitoring, and upgrading networks equipment to include servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment. HOW THE NETWORK ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACTMaintains network integrity and connectivity while ensuring compliance with policiesEvaluates new communications technologies to enhance capabilities of the network Maintains system backup and recovery capability.Coordinating hardware and software acquisition.Creating plans and configures systems for data communication networksCreating network diagrams, documenting configurations, and documenting procedures.Supporting the design and build of hardware and software components for computer or telecommunications networks.Maintaining current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.Perform work critical to the organization.Performs maintenance and upgrade of networks including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, remote access systems, and cryptographic equipment.May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals WHAT YOU WILL NEED TO SUCCEEDSecurity Clearance Required: An active TS/SCI Security ClearanceCertification: Candidates must have a valid DoD 8570.2/8140 IAT II certification; CCNA certified CCNP preferred.Skills: Experience diagraming networks.
