To learn more about Mission Technologies, click here for a short video: Summary HII - Mission Technologies is seeking a System Engineer who demonstrate exceptional technical expertise in delivering mission-critical infrastructure solutions providing U-A/A3ZJ SME support to advise, plan, train, improve, and sustain C-JADC2 capabilities to accomplish USAFE Commander priorities. This role is responsible for ensuring optimal system availability, performance, and security across complex environments. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systems engineering and analysis, and possess the ability to design, implement, and maintain robust systems that support organizational objectives.What You Will Do Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure Install, configure, test and maintain operating systems, application software and system management tools Proactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability Monitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identify possible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixes Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies Write and maintain custom scripts to increase system efficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasks Participate in the design of information and operational support systems Provide 2nd and 3rd level support Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution. What We Are Looking For 5 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field or High School Diploma or equivalent and 9 years relevant experience. Solid experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g.,Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, NGINX) Solid Cloud experience. Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, Virtual Box). Experience with monitoring systems. Experience with automation software (e.g., Puppet, cfengine, Chef). Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python). Solid networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP). Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a TS clearance.  Preferred: Bonus Points For... Clearance: Posses and maintains a TS/SCI clearance.  BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject with 3 years of experience. Proven working experience in installing, configuring and troubleshooting UNIX /Linux based environments.
