Site and Mechanical Erection Manager

We are looking for a Site and Mechanical Erection Manager with pressure part knowledge (boilers/ power stations) based in Valmet office in: Germany As Site and Mechanical Erection Manager, you are responsible for coordinating and managing all on site operations to ensure the deliveries meet the quality, safety, time and budget targets. You are key expert in coordinating and controlling all aspects of the site including planning work, arranging delivery of materials and managing a range of subcontractors. Areas of Responsibility: Coordinate and control all aspects of the site (site presence required). Set, monitor and report the performance of the site against standards and targets. Develop and implement a variety of operating policies and procedures. Coordinate pre-site and on-site meetings with a range of Client and Contractors. Responsible for ensuring regular site safety checks are conducted and maintaining strict quality control procedures Supporting the Sales team by identifying the issues to be solved Writing Scopes of work to send to tenderers (RFQ’s) Auditing of suppliers and subcontractors Key stakeholder in developing the supplier network Assessing bids from subcontractors Ensure control of deliveries by communicating from Valmet HQ to final delivery Immediate assessment and problem solving of onsite issues Attendance to emergent works under time pressure situation To succeed in this role, you will need: Excellent teamwork and communication skills High level of commitment, proactive approach and taking responsibility. Self-starter Understanding of project processes to properly prioritize things Language skills: English (min B2) Experience in a similar position: minimum 4 years You tolerate pressure and can work with tight schedules in a global multicultural environment Education: technical, mechanical, engineering (or equivalent) Good knowledge of pressure part welding Familiarity with EN12952 and EN13480 (minimum 5 sites executed with pressure part works) Solid experience of boiler and pressure part on sites Good negotiation skills and experience from negotiating with erection companies for boilers and pressure parts High availability to travel (including foreign travel) Good office and site skills Flexibility to step into different roles (site manager/ site planner/ audit and networking stakeholder) Fault finding and finding of the solutions to them Finding the way to work independently when needed We offer: In return, we offer you an interesting and challenging job in global business environment and friendly atmosphere as well as good possibilities for competence development.
